Getting set up
The first launch — two questions, then you're in.
Screen one: welcome
One line about what the app does, and one button: Set up in 30 seconds.
There's nothing to read carefully here and nothing to decide.
Screen two: what do you pack?
Four tick-boxes, in two groups.
| Group | Options |
|---|---|
| Clothes | Feminine clothes — dresses, skirts, heels, and jewelry · Masculine clothes — suits, ties, and dress shirts |
| Also | Makeup — foundation to finishing spray · Period Care — tampons, pads, and cup |
Both clothing sets start ticked. Makeup and Period Care start unticked.
The four answers are independent. Ticking a clothing set doesn't imply anything about the other two — the app used to infer that and doesn't any more, because guessing at this from one answer was the wrong shape of question.
Then Continue, or Skip for now in the top right.
What each answer actually does
Turning something off takes it out of your way. Turning it on — or leaving it on — keeps it.
Nothing is added that wasn't already there. This screen only ever removes, and the thing it's protecting you from is scrolling past a hundred items that will never apply to you.
Skipping takes the defaults: both clothing sets kept, the other two left off. Nothing is archived and nothing is added. It's genuinely the same as continuing without touching anything.
Nothing happens until you tap the button
Your answers aren't applied as you tick them — they're applied once, when you tap Continue or Skip for now. Quit the app halfway through and the wizard comes back next launch with nothing changed.
If something goes wrong saving your choices, the app tells you plainly — "Your library wasn't changed — nothing was lost" — and offers to try again. Setup isn't marked finished unless it actually worked.

Go deeper
What "archived" means here. The note under the buttons reads "Unselected items are automatically archived. You can recover them at any time." That's true — but the mechanism differs for one of the four.
Unticking Feminine clothes, Masculine clothes or Period Care archives those items. They leave your lists and wait in your library's archive.
Unticking Makeup removes a whole kit rather than a set of items, so it doesn't go to the archive — it goes back to Browse Kits, where you can add it again like any other kit.
Either way the promise on screen holds: nothing is destroyed and everything comes back. Only the place you'd go looking is different.
Your library is built on first launch, whatever you answer, with quantities, notes and tags already attached. How much arrives depends on your answers; the rest waits in Browse Kits, and the full library is 33 lists and 858 items. That's why your first trip arrives with a real packing list in it instead of an empty screen. It runs once, and after that the library is yours to edit.
You don't have to set anything else up. Every setting has a working default. Go make your first trip.
One setting worth knowing about early. Text size lives in Settings (the gear, top left of Home) and steps the whole app's text up or down relative to your iPhone's own setting. Not urgent, but it's the one most people want and don't find. See Settings.
Outfit planning has no switch. Every trip has an Outfits block on its Plans tab. See Planning outfits.
If something looks wrong
I skipped and now I'm missing things. You're not — skipping changes nothing. If items are missing, they were unticked deliberately on screen two.
I turned something off and want it back. Archived items are recoverable from your library. An unticked Makeup kit is in Browse Kits, not the archive — see Go deeper above.
The wizard came back. You quit before finishing. Nothing was applied, so nothing was lost.
Your data
Your trips, templates and library edits live on your iPhone. They're included in your iCloud device backup, so restoring a new phone brings everything with it.
There is no multi-device sync in this version. Two iPhones will not stay in step with each other.
